Chatham Hospice
The Chatham Lions Club donated to the Chatham-Kent Hospice for the past 3 years.
Chatham Lions supported the Chatham-Kent Hospice "Hike for Hospice" in 2019
In 2020, Chatham Lions donated $1000 for the Virtual Hike for Hospice
during the Covid-19 Pandemic.
District A1 2020 Effective Speaking Contest
The Chatham Lions Club is the District Chair for the District Effective Speaking Program for 2020.
The contest was held at the Active Lifestyle Centre in Chatham on Sunday, March 8, 2020.
Since 1947, the Lions Clubs of Multiple District “A” have provided a challenging opportunity for our youth to compete in one of Canada’s largest public speaking competitions. Furthermore, it aids to stimulate self-expression and independent thinking among our students.
The Effective Speaking contest consists of three grade levels in both official languages-English and French. The Junior division includes grades 4, 5 and 6; the Intermediate - grades 7, 8 and 9; and the Senior - grades 10, 11 and 12.
