Current Projects:

  • Our Vision Services Projects include providing free vision screening for young students, providing free eyeglasses for those in need, supporting the large print and audio books programs at local libraries and collecting/recycling old eyeglasses and hearing aids for those in need in developing countries.

  • Our Local Youth Projects include sponsorship of a Diabetes Awareness Essay Contest in elementary and middle schools to raise family awareness of diabetes.  We sponsor a Peace Poster Contest in middle schools to encourage young people ot aristically express thier vision of peace.  We also provide sponsorships for a number of local deserving youth each year to attend summer camps and other special events.

Donations from the Campbell County Commission, LaFollette Medical Foundation, individuals supporting our roadblocks and other fundraising activities make the above-described projects possible.

  • Our club recently made a financial commitment to porvide $5,000 to Community Health of East Tennessee (CHET).  These funds will support the construction of a vision exam room in the new CHET Health Clinic.

Individual member donations and individual fundraising projects are providing the financial resources to support this commitment.
