The Blind River Lions Club donated $200 to Bea Jensen of the local Kidney Foundation on April 6, 2011.  The club hosted a Spaghetti Dinner on February 12, 2011 to fundraise for the breakfast clubs in local schools. A profit $846.57 was made. Thanks to $500.00 donation from Hutton’s Valumart! Picture from left to right: Lorraine Serre, Fred Hinton, Vyrn Peterson, Anita Moran, Don Williamson.

 

 

 Blind River Lions hosted a New Member’s Night on January 11, 2011 to recruit new members. In the following picture Lion Aline Charron made a presentation and related her personal experience on “what a rewarding experience to be a Lions member!”

 
 

Blind River Lions participated in the Lions Club Telethon by selling smiley cookies in Tim Hortons on November 29, 2010. CTV-Lions Children’s Christmas Telethon started in 1949 on the streets of Sudbury. Money raised from the telethon is donated for children’s Christmas gifts in the local community.
