Beaufort NC Lions Club announces our 3rd Annual Timed 5K, Fun Run/Walk and Salty Dog Walk - on November 4, 2017 at 8:00 am on the waterfront streets of downtown Beaufort, in hopes of bringing more awareness of diabetes and its health effects to our community. Each year, Beaufort Lions Club seeks sponsors for this fun family event, to benefit special non-profit organizations. This year, our donations will be made to the following: Vision Needs in Carteret County. , Camp Needles in the Pines & Leader Dog for the Blind/Canine Development Center

The 22nd Annual John Costlow Christmas Train Show was held on Friday December 2, 2016 thru Sunday December 4, 2016 in the Old Train Depot at the corner of Pollock and Broad Streets in Beaufort, NC.. FREE ADMISSION and open to the public!  Donations went to the Beaufort Lions Club who, under the direction of Lion Doug Doubleday assisted with this year’s show.

NOVEMBER 5, 2016

Beaufort Lions Club had their 2nd Annual Glow Run Race, Saturday, November 5, 2016! 
This was a fundraiser for Lions Club International Diabetes for Awareness, and donations will be made to Leader Dog for the Blind – Canine Development Center, Juvenile Diabetes- JDRF and Project Superhero in Eastern North Carolina.

5K Timed, 1-mile Fun Run/Walk, and Salty Dog Walk.

Families and Friends joined our many volunteers who served at this event, including our special Beaufort Lions LEO Club from East Carteret High School.

Thanks to Janie Jones, Leigh, Lisa Dunson, Dick McKeon, Aileen Will, Rob Will, Peter Crumley, Dot Crumley for their volunteer efforts at this event, and a heartfelt and special thanks to Mike Lovoy and the 7 East Carteret LEOs who were up early on Saturday morning to get everything rolling.  Thank you to everyone at Ribeyes Steakhouse and Oyster Bar for making this possible.

Special thanks to Bryan Hoover, State Coordinator, who transports the Mobile Screening Unit (MSU) throughout our state, giving all Lions Clubs in North Carolina an opportunity to conduct screenings in their communities.

Strides Run/Walk for Diabetes Awareness in Beaufort!

Beaufort Lions Club led a GLOW RUN on SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 7, 2015 to bring awareness of visual implications of diabetes ito our community.

EVENTS were a 5k Timed, a 1kFun-Walk/Run AND a Dog Walk! Medals were given to 1st-3rd each division.

FALL SOCIAL AND MEMBERSHIP DRIVE

On Monday, October 26 from 6:00pm-8:00pm Beaufort Lions Hosted a Fall Social - at the home and courtyard of Mike and Anne Lovoy @ 103 Moore Street, Unit 3, Beaufort! 
Members were present to tell - Who We Are, How We Serve Our Community and How You Can Become a Member of Our Team.

KAYAK RAFFLE!  CONGRATULATIONS TO WINNER, JOE STROUD

 Beaufort Lions are sold Raffle tickets throughout the month of July for a West Marine Kayak & Paddle, Valued at $500.

The RAFFLE was held on Monday, July 27, when the Beaufort Lions meet at their Summer Social in the home of Mike and Ann Levoy. Thank you to the many who supported us by buying these tickets, and congratulations to our special local, Joe Stroud, on his big win!

Beaufort Lions Club enjoyed a big evening at Big Rock Stadium (2714 Mayberry Loop Road, Morehead City, NC) on June 29. Marlins vs. Fayetteville Swampdogs. 

Beaufort Lions sold $5 raffle tickets that evening and throughout town and at the Dockhouse on Thursday evenings, July 2 & 26, and in front of First Citizens Bank during the July 4 Parade on Front Street for a kayak, valued at $500. (Drawing on July 27!)

Beaufort Lions Club and friends enjoyed an evening of painting AND making a difference in the community! We Painted It Forward for Loaves & Fishes of Beaufort at Wine and Design Morehead City! Wednesday, March 25, 5:30pm-7:30pm! For $35, painters enjoyed drinks and appetizers, provided by the Lions, and Wine and Design provided all of the painting supplies.

VIP Sailing Trip- October 19 2014 at Gallants Channel Beaufort, NC

Beaufort Lions Club had a great VIP Sailing Trip Today! 8 people participated and had  wonderful day on a sail boat. Lion Jane Difiore treated all of us to a fabulous lunch and snack! The dessert was fantastic!! Brownies and Chocolate chip cookies!! Thank you to Lion Valerie for helping with the transporation and to Lion Doug with helping crew the boat rides! What a beautiful day for a sail!!

We had the help of The Beaufort Woman's Sailing Club and The Friends of the NC Maritime Museum to make this event happen. We hope to repeat this again in the Spring of next year!!
