CLUB HISTORY

The Basye-Bryce Mountain Lions Club was founded on March 22, 1983 with 25 charter members. It is part of the Lions Club International, the largest service organization in the world. Our club is dedicated to serving the needs of the people of Basye, Virginia and the surrounding communities in southern Shenandoah County. The club currently has 78 members. The club honors its outstanding member each year with the Joe Bridges award, named after a founder and the first president of the club.

INTERNATIONAL CLUB OF THE MONTH

In recognition of our many community activities, in May 2011 the Basye-Bryce Mountain Lions Club was selected by Lions Magazine, the official publication of LCI, as the worldwide Club of the Month. 

IRS CERTIFICATION

The Basye-Bryce Mountain Lions Club has been certified as a 501(c) (3) organization so any donations to the club are tax deductible.
