The Aurora Noon Lions has a proud history of serving the greater Aurora area since the charter was signed 98 years ago on October 30, 1922. The Lions Moto is “We Serve”, has provided financial assistance to blind, hearing impaired children, seniors and those in general need of support within the community
We have various fundraising activities during the year that include Illinois Candy Day, Easter Pancake Breakfast, Halloween Pancake Breakfasts, Fat Tuesday Pizza and Pasta Night Dinner, Salvation Army Bell Ringing, and the Aurora Blues Fest Ice Cream Sales.
Funds received from Candy Day provide extensive services, program and grants, award-winning Camp Lions, Mobile Retina Unit, Mobile Hearing Unit, Low Vision Program and more. Camp Lions of Illinois for Blind and Deaf Youth and Adults Offers eligible campers a week of fun, challenging activities and an opportunity to make new friends with peers of similar abilities.
The Aurora Noon Lions serves the Aurora Salvation Army, East Aurora High School, Fox Valley United Way, Hessed House, Lions of Illinois Foundation , Interfaith Food Pantry, Marie Wilkinson Food Pantry , Mutual Ground, VNA Vision Clinic, Waubonsee Community College and West Aurora High School.

The Aurora Noon Lions Club members volunteer many hours services in their community to assist those in need. Our mission is to serve our communities with these following committees: Sight Preservation and Awareness, Hearing Presevation and Awareness, Diabetes Awareness, Lions Services for Children and Adults, Hunger, Childhood Cancer, Lions Oppurtunities for Youth, and Internation Relations.
Lions are active. Our Motto is We Serve through our various programsthroughout the community.
Lions members are apart of a global service network,doingwhat ever is necessary to help our local communities
Lions give sight . Lions conduct vision screening, provide glasses and information about eye diseases. The Lions mission is to provide vision for all through our Sight First Program.
Lions serve youth. Our community projects serve children in need and our schools through scholarships. Internationally , we offer the Peace Poster Contest, Youth Camps and Exchange and Lion Quest.
