 LIONS CLUB ACTIVITIES FOR 2013

AUDUBON, IOWA

PUBLIC SERVICE & PUBLIC RELATIONS

Two members that joined in January were Lorayne Ringle sponsored by Darrell & Kay Whitehead; Jackie Wahlert sponsored by Juanita Reynard.  Chris Anderson administered their oaths.

Our Lions cooked pancakes and sausage in both January and March for the residents of the Friendship Home. Residents say our Lions pancakes taste the best. It must be our secret recipe!

The 23rd annual Farm Toy Show was another success in 2013. All 72 tables were sold with the vendors very pleased with sales. Over 500 adults and children enjoyed the show's dispay of farm machinery on a beautiful Saturday in February.
Did I mention that they also enjoyed the food?

The Audubon Lions Noon Club Branch welcomes Donna Rugaard as a new member.  Rugaard joins Mary Gross.  Both new Lions are sponsored by Everett Nelson. The Noon Club Branch meets the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month at the Friendship Home. If you are interested in the noon club, there are still three informational meetings scheduled the 4th Tuesday in April and the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays in May.

Audubon Lions and Lion Mike Fassino, owner of Audubon Foods, each donated $300 and collected $600 of food for New Opportunities. The variety of food was collected in December to help families to have healthy and delicious meals for the holiday season.
