District Governor 2011-2012  Lion Norma J. Peterson of the Fergus Lions Club

On May 30th, 2011 a very successful Charter Night was held at the Woolwich Community Centre in St Jacobs that was graciously donated for the occasion by the St Jacobs Lions Club.

The evening was  hosted by the Guelph Royal City Lions Club, sponsor of the new Ariss and District Lions Club.

A  short power point presentation outlining the video history of the Ariss and District Branch Club from its beginning to the chartering of the Ariss and District Lions Club was presented.

District Governor 2010 - 2011, Lion Todd Wilson of the Elmira Lions Club, assisted by Past District Governors Lion Karen McNeight, St Marys Lions Club and O.J. Wilura of the Lions Club of Kitchener inducted the 26 Charter Lions. Guelph/Eramosa Mayor, Lion Chris White of the Rockwood and District Lions Club welcomed the new club into his Township.

After many generous presentations those attending greatly enjoyed the antics of the Whistlers from Brantford.

At our second meeting September 26, 2011 two new members were accepted into the club raising our membership to 28.
