Who Are the Lions?  We are members of the world's largest service organization.  There are OVER 1,400,000 members in over 46,000 clubs in 210 geographic areas.  The Upper Perkiomen Valley Lions Club is comprised of leading citizens totaling approximately 35 men and women.  From the start, the emphasis has been on service  in all forms to less fortunate members of the community.

THE UPPER PERKIOMEN VALLEY LIONS CLUB, INC. was chartered November 6, 1943 by the Souderton and Perkasie Lions Clubs. The Upper Perkiomen Valley Club later sponsored Lions Clubs in Emmaus, Alburtis, and Western Lehigh, and also sponsored the Upper Perkiomen Valley Lioness Club (now defunct) and a Leo Club in the Upper Perkiomen School High School and in the Upper Perkiomen Middle School.  In these past years, the club has had the honor of five members serving as District Governor in District 14-R.

During these years, the club has organized the Upper Perkiomen Valley Ambulance Corps and Operation Santa Claus, a mercy mission throughout the community at Christmas time. At one time, the club held very successful minstrel shows.

Lions Clubs International is the world's largest service club organization with more than 1.4 million members in approximately 46,000 clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas around the world.
