CLUB

             1939 - (Our 84th year of Community Service) - 2024

We were chartered in November of 1939 and have provided help and served those in need in the community ever since. Our club is part of Lions Clubs International, the world’s largest service organization, with more than 1.4 million members in hundreds of countries and geographical areas. The proceeds from our fund-raisers are used to provide aid for the blind, visually-handicapped, deaf and hearing-impaired as well as many other worthwhile causes. Current members of the Calumet City Lions Club represent more than 1,000 years of community service through Lionism.

 And. . .the winners are?

Our annual $20,000 Raffle drawing was held at the VFW on Friday, May 10, 2024, at 8 p.m. All 500 tickets were sold -- enabling us to fully fund our donations and financial obligations for the coming year. Thanks to many Lion ticket sellers and a host of loyal ticket buyers, we will be able to continue our mission of helping those in need during our 85th year of Community Service.

Just Wondering:
--  How do you get off a non-stop flight?
--  How come noses run and feet smell?
--  Why is it called a TV set when there's only one?
--  Why do we put cups in the dishwasher and dishes in the cupboard?
